We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, database management, and big data technologies, along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to collect, store, and process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to identify data requirements and implement data solutions that meet those needs.
- Optimize data processing systems for performance, reliability, and scalability, ensuring data availability and integrity.
- Develop and maintain robust data storage solutions, including databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
- Implement data quality assurance processes to validate data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in data engineering and contribute to the company’s continuous growth and improvement.
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or other programming languages commonly used in data engineering.
- Strong knowledge of big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions, such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery, and ETL tools, like Apache NiFi, Talend, or Informatica.
- Familiarity with data integration techniques and APIs.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
